5. Recap of Love All Tournament from Ray Murakami and John Hayes
It was the perfect summer weekend for the opening Love All tournament !
How appropriate it was on the 10th anniversary of this SSTC love fest for the “We the North” contingent to prevail and tie the South at 5 victories aside by a final score or 153 – 135.
Captain John H was later heard lamenting his oversight of letting the north “borrow” Alex V S but Captain Ray M downplayed the oversight by noting
his 6-0 gender blender loss to Coach John H !
Nonetheless the North was lead by the stellar play of MVC (most valuable couple” Joanne and David Browne and their massive overall point accumulation. The score might have been greater had the South not deployed the now not so secret new member ringers Gord and Sue O’Reilly deserving MVCs for the South !
The MLV (most loving couple) award went to Kenny Wilson and Mike Tangney for their respectful, caring and considerate manner to others and themselves!
But exclusive to this event as declared by Kenny
An appropriate selection given this weeks celebration !
Big thanks to Kim Cormack, Jackie Campbell and Mary Ann Gaskin for their amazing contribution of food and refreshments throughout the day, to Nancy Bowen for organizing the SSTC outerwear (perfect for the Point Au Baril event)
Karen Walsh for the group shot, John Hayes and Ray Murakami for not losing their minds with last minute no shows, add ons and final match-ups and finally all of you Love Allers that made this an enjoyable and memorable event!
