SSCA Presentation - Sat. August 15 - 9:30-10:30am

The Georgian Bay Land Trust is coming to the SSCA! Join us for a presentation on the unique field finds from Georgian Bay Land Trust's Corridor Project. The presentation will be given by Joseph Kohut, the Corridor Project Biologist who is stationed in San Souci. Joseph is eager to share his passion and knowledge about Georgian Bay wildlife and their fascinating biology. We all have a role to play in protecting the Georgian Bay's natural beauty, so come learn with us at the SSCA community center on August 15th!

SSCA Day Camp Visit - Sat. August 15 - 10:45-11:45am

The Georgian Bay Land Trust is coming to the SSCA Day Camp! Join us for a fun day of learning about Georgian Bay wildlife with the biologists next door. After a quick in class lesson, campers will embark on a nature walk and scavenger hunt. Come see how many critters and creatures you can find at the SSCA community center on August 15th!

The presentation is for adults, while the nature walk is geared toward kids.  Joseph will be leading the hike and Emma and Jane will be supervising.  If a child isn't signed up for our Saturday day camp, we ask that a parent come along for the hike. 

Parents are welcome to drop their kids off with Emma and Jane for camp, head over to enjoy the nature presentation, and then either pick their child up afterwards or have them stay for the full day of camp until 3:00 p.m.

The morning supervision is free for families attending the presentation. If kids stay for the rest of the camp day, though, they'll need to be registered for Saturday camp. We hope that lots of campers will attend this last official day of camp!
